Technology Support Services
In most cases, students, faculty and staff should start with Technology Support Services (831-7500) for resolution of their technical problems. Technology Support Services technical professionals, supplemented by student workers, are knowledgeable about PCs, Macs, laptops, printers, scanners, networking and many kinds of software. As necessary, Technology Support Services can call upon other specialists within the IT organization to assist with especially difficult problems.

Networking and Telephone Services
This group installs and maintains the university’s networking infrastructure & telephone system. Report a telephone problem at 831-6600. Report a cable-TV problem at 831-6059. For all other problems, call Technology Support Services at 831-7500.

Systems Administration & Computer Operations
This unit operates all the computers and servers located in the university’s central Computing Center. The staff processes tests, evaluations and surveys for faculty and produces administrative reports on high-speed printers. This operation is largely for administrative purposes so students would have no reason to call. Faculty and staff may call 831-5063.

Information Systems
This group develops and maintains the computer software needed to conduct the university’s business. Faculty and staff may call 831-5173.

Other University Technology Resources (Academic Technologies)
This unit manages the university’s general purpose computer labs (Walker Hall Technology Center), assists faculty in resolving problems in departmental labs, and works closely with faculty who wish to deploy new technologies into the teaching/learning environment. Call 831-7500 for assistance.
